This playful yet sophisticated collection feels like a set of ancient tablets found in the desert. Each tile features a different hand-carved symbol—swirls, sun-like circles, and flowing lines—that look like a secret language or a map. The contrast between the crisp white top row and the warm, earthy orange bottom rows adds a pop of modern color to the room while keeping a very natural, grounded feel.
Because each piece is slightly different in shape and texture, the artwork feels handmade and full of character. It’s a perfect way to add a rhythmic, “gallery” look to a dining room or a transition wall between living spaces.
Medium: Mineral-based plaster relief on hand-cast structural tiles
Technique: “Intaglio” hand-carving and “bas-relief” molding featuring primitive, organic symbols and deckled (raw) edges
Finish: A dual-tone matte finish consisting of three bone-white tiles and six deep terracotta-clay tiles with a gritty, sun-baked texture
Form: A modular grid installation of nine individual rectangular panels with soft, irregular borders
