This beautiful piece feels like a warm, handcrafted sun hanging in the room. It is built in layers, starting with a textured, stony white center that feels solid and grounded. Around it, a series of delicate, light-brown threads are woven into intricate patterns, almost like a traditional dreamcatcher or a vintage lace doily.
The whole piece is finished with a thick, shaggy fringe of raw fibers that adds a soft, bohemian energy to the wall. It’s an inviting, tactile artwork that brings a sense of handcrafted peace and organic warmth to a modern, neutral-toned living space.
Medium: Natural textile fibers (Organic jute, hand-woven raffia, and sun-bleached cotton twine) on a circular plaster-coated base
Technique: Multi-layered radial weaving and “fringe” knotting combined with hand-applied mineral plaster textures
Finish: Raw, earthy matte finish featuring a mix of toasted almond tones and a soft, eggshell-white center
Form: A large, circular “sunburst” wall installation featuring a dense, woven core surrounded by a wide, feathered fiber halo
