Description:

The artwork steps away from typical flat frames, behaving like a dynamic, architectural tapestry that fills the interior with global soul. Nestled perfectly within two grand clay arches, the installation uses a curated collection of hand-woven tribal plates layered over one another in a beautifully clustered design. The patterns feel alive and rhythmic, shuffling graphic black-and-white zebra stripes against warm terracotta swirls, desert sunbursts, and sandy, minimal woven rings.

What makes this piece completely unique is its ability to soften modern architecture. Rather than demanding attention with loud colors or shiny surfaces, it relies entirely on the inviting warmth of woven textiles.

Medium: Mixed media installation combining hand-woven wild sisal fibers, sweetgrass coils, dyed palm leaves, and integrated wire mountings

Technique: Dimensional basket weaving and cluster grouping; individual fiber plates are tightly hand-coiled using traditional sewing methods, patterned with organic dyes, and overlappingly layered on the wall to form two separate floating clouds of texture

Finish: A completely raw, matte textile finish showcasing organic fiber grains and a rich, sun-baked color palette of zebra black-and-white, mustard ochre, warm terracotta, and sandy cream

Form: A dual-set, multi-piece asymmetric installation consisting of over 20 independent woven discs grouped into two beautifully matched clusters
