This custom mixed media installation brings a breathtaking, organic warmth to a contemporary dining space. Emulating the soft sway of a golden wheat field or desert pampas, the artwork uses hand-shaped botanical spikes arranged in a rhythmic, repeating sequence. The elements are mounted flush against a heavily textured stucco wall and illuminated from below by soft LED strip lighting, which throws dramatic, elongating shadows upward. It infuses a deep sense of calm, natural texture, and grounded luxury into upscale restaurants, rustic cafes, or bohemian-minimalist lounge areas.
Medium: Mixed media installation combining preserved natural plant fibers, flexible wire structural cores, plaster composite wall texturing, and hidden strip LED backlighting.
Technique: Rhythmic organic sequencing; multiple hand-shaped botanical spikes are mounted at precise intervals directly onto a deeply textured plaster wall, creating a dynamic, sweeping movement that follows the architecture of the space.
Finish: A rich, organic matte contrast; pairing rough, coarse, chalky neutral-toned stucco wall textures with the warm, golden-brown earthy tones of dried botanical elements.
