This spectacular mixed media installation brings an earthy, sun-drenched “tulum-chic” or high-end coastal vibe to a luxury living room, outdoor patio, or entryway lounge. The artwork centers around a striking, raw timber plank that grounds the composition with its beautiful natural wood grain. From behind the wood, two massive, semi-circular brass wings expand outward, catching ambient light with a soft, metallic golden glow.
A rough, dark stone backing ties the entire piece together, peeking out from the edges to create an incredible contrast between sleek geometry and raw nature. Balanced beautifully over neutral furniture and surrounded by warm clay planters, it creates a grounded, luxurious, and inviting atmosphere that celebrates rich textures and quiet luxury.
Medium: Mixed media installation combining hand-beaten sheet brass, a central live-edge reclaimed wood plank, and a textured backing panel made from oxidized copper or natural slate stone composites
Technique: High-relief material layering; two curved brass “wing” panels are hand-shaped and anchored symmetrically to flank a raw, vertically mounted timber plank, all layered over a jagged, organically cut stone-textured background panel
Finish: A rich blend of natural textures; featuring a warm, satin-brushed finish on the golden brass plates, a raw grain matte finish on the central wood panel, and a rugged, weathered dark grey finish on the stone backing
